Born in South Western Nigeria, Jide recognised his musicianship in his late teenage years. He is a self-instructed, multi-talented musician with nearly two decades of experience in mainstage music, song-writing and public worship leading. He has been able to pull through all odds to gain recognition especially in the gospel music industry. Until 1998, he was the national music director for the New Covenant Churches in Nigeria while concurrently being the music director for the Samonda branch.

As a naturally gifted and skilled musician and with God's help, he had a very rapid promotion. Between 1989 and 1993, he played guitar and bass for the then popular 'Emerald', a Christian contemporary instrumental jazz quartet in Ibadan, Nigeria. He has featured at popular music festivals alongside many prominent christian artistes especially at the Maranatha Music Festivals in the late eighties. As a highly prolific songwriter, Jide has a vast collection of original songs set in diverse genres such as ballad, pop, reggae, R&B and some contemporary afro-rhythms.

Among the successful concerts he has held with the Samonda music team are 'Rejoice '97' and 'He is Risen '98'. These recordings have become the favourites of many television stations within and outside Oyo State Nigeria. Jide has taught a good number of musicians, some of whom are now known producers in different parts of the world. He has been the technical adviser for many christian bands and a producer for many artistes and groups. He was a guest UK music minister at the Nigeria Turning Point Prayer Rally in Abuja Stadium in year 2005. He has delivered many seminars and conducted training programmes on praise & worship and sound management in many universities, churches and conferences in different parts of the world.

To God's glory, he was the consultant for the Gambian government on the International Roots Homecoming Festival Theme songs CD, which he wrote and produced, as well as handling the sounds production project for the World Expo in Hannover, Germany. He was also contracted to produce two tracks on a 2-CD album for the United Nations World Music Project for the International Year of Volunteers. Jide has also recorded for Maersk Sealand, Air Brussels, ITC and many other multi-national organisations.

Of recent, Jide has been involved in concerts within the U.K. and Romania, helping to raise funds for Hospice of Hope (an organisation that cares for the terminally ill), and this according to him, brings so much joy and fulfilment. Jide has many albums to his credit but he has three CDs for himself, the latest being 'Love Connection'. He now owns a hi-tech digital recording studio (Con Dios Studio) in South East London where he does his music productions
